ANDREW TUTUPOLY
I’m a Chicago-based filmmaker and visual artist working across film, photography, and moving image, with a background in graphic design. I am currently studying at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, pursuing a Fine Arts degree in Film and Photography, and graduating in Spring 2027. My practice focuses on capturing moments that feel immediate yet fleeting, exploring how time, memory, and emotion shape everyday experience.
Growing up in Jakarta and now living in Chicago continues to influence how I frame the world, often expressed through environment, texture, and gesture rather than direct narration. I am interested in how memory shifts over time and how experiences are felt differently once they pass. My work becomes a way of holding onto what is already fading, not to preserve it exactly as it was, but to understand the emotional weight it carries.
